Hey everyone,

I’m feeling discouraged and could use a reality check. I just hit academic probation with a 2.0 GPA after getting two C's (CSE 6040 and MGT 6201). Seeing so many people here pull A's makes me wonder what I'm doing wrong, or if this program is even right for me.

My Questions:
Bouncing Back: If you dug yourself out of academic probation, what exactly did you change about your study habits?

Time Management: How are you actually structuring your weeks? Especially looking for advice from those balancing a high-stress career with the coursework.

Sanity Check: Am I just drastically underestimating the weekly hours required, or should I reconsider if I actually have the bandwidth for this degree right now?

Appreciate any actionable advice you can share!

I received this email from office of registrar and I have already reached out to the academic program advisor but have not heard back from them.
Will I be dropped from the program and do I need file for readmission ? Need some advice

Based on the grades you earned in the most recent term, you have been placed on Review. This is a temporary standing that makes you ineligible for registration. If no acceptable explanation is given within a reasonable time, your standing will be changed to Drop and all Summer and Fall 2026 courses removed. You can review your academic record online by logging in to Oscar (oscar.gatech.edu), clicking the "Students" tab and selecting the "Student Profile" tile. Click on "Registration Notices" in the top right corner of the screen.
You should contact your major school to determine the reason for the Review standing and determine what is required by that department to remove the Review status. If you have not removed the Review status by the end of registration for Summer 2026 (May 22, 2026), any courses you have registered for during the Phase I registration period will be cancelled.
