Making account attractive enough to make people hit follow

Still learning here! It is so interesting to see how picky people are to click follow, and it’s like I’ve been so focused on creating I’ve forgotten what it’s like to be a follower because im the same way on my personal account 🤣

I noticed when I removed military family from my bio my profile visits to follow ratio increased, not sure if that’s a coincidence but I was trying to real niche down and thought adding that would help make my profile look more unique

I kind of went viral and had 150k views in the past few days. Like 200 people visited my profile but only 50 followed. I see some other pet pages with awful cringy content and they have thousands of followers. I have no idea how lol. I’m trying to be a clean aesthetic page, like “dang I want that dogs life” kind of page. I don’t have him yet, only have some content from our meetup day, so I want to FIX my profile before I bring him home and really start bringing in views.

If you clicked on a puppy page, what would make you follow? (Golden retriever)

how do you guys get honest feedback on your profile? Is posting a handle on here safe? I don’t want bots to find me!!

I’m up to 161 in 3 weeks

Promotion from other accounts?

Niche content here, I run a pet influencer page, and all the time I see dogy_studio commenting on my and other accounts to “send me this video”. He has over 1 million followers and charges to promote you. Just curious what y’all think of this and if anyone has actually done this with them

AHHH I don’t get instagram!!

I think Instagram actually put me in view jail, I know that is thrown around a lot, and it may or may not be a real thing, but my husband stopped seeing my posts on his feed.

I made my account two weeks ago, I was regularly getting engagement, views atleast over 500 and decent amount of likes for a new account. Recently, my last like five posts have not gone over 200 views and zero likes. The same posts are doing fine on TikTok.

I recently learned that Instagram can flag something called engagement rings? My brother, sister, and husband like all of my stuff so I don’t know if that’s something that might’ve happened to me.

If it matters, my niche is military spouse, stationed in Texas, with a golden retriever puppy on the way. I wasn’t expecting to get followers (99) so soon without the puppy, so maybe these people followed me and aren’t engaging with my stuff because they are waiting for the puppy reveal? I do post some content like essentials that I bought, why we decided to buy the breed that we did, asked for help naming him(no engagement on that). My recent videos have been more Texas area focused

How the heck do you guys get out of this?
