Partially just here to vent, also maybe some advice. Has anybody here called out of work for a canker sore?
I’m a photographer at a portrait studio, my entire job is talking and giving people directions. We’re in the middle of photographing a class of 200 people right now and I’m in helllll.
I have a huge sore on the underside of my tongue, and that whole side of my tongue is swollen so every time I move my mouth the sore scrapes against my teeth. I feel like crying on my lunch break right now and I can’t even eat my sandwich.
Is this an acceptable reason to call out? My coworkers are sympathetic but I just don’t think they really get how bad the pain is
