Talk me out of the Yaris cross
I've seen a lot of hate for the cross and the compact SUVs in general in reddit, but do you think there's a better choice in my case:
* I don't need a lot of space - we are currently 2 people with no kids and do fine with a 2019 Corolla hatch
* We need higher clearance as we like to explore forests for wildlife/bird photography, AWD is also a huge plus.
* Otherwise, than the biweekly excursions to the forests we drive in the city mostly 10 km daily commute and the fuel economy sounds great on the Yaris cross.
Taking all of these into account and looking at European used prices it seems like a good choice ? The only contender is the RAV4 but I understand that it has worse fuel economy. Looking at used cars 2-5 year old. Maybe I'm missing something else ?
