UPF summer clothing that isn’t outrageously hot

I like to ride midday but there seems to be no U.S. sunscreen that can possibly survive UV 9. At the same time, it seems utterly impossible to find UPF style clothing that isn’t an absolute nightmare to ride with when the temp is over 90 degrees. More seriously, I can’t find any reasonable way to protect my face from tanning/sunburn

has anyone been able to solve this with any kind of clothing builds?

Stickiest, goopiest, most miserably resilient sunscreen around

I’m looking for a sunscreen that can survive multiple hours of absolute acid sweat without dripping off. I don’t care if I look like a ghost, have greasy skin, or otherwise look ridiculous. I do long running and riding and need something that will stick on all day. I’m fine to reapply but many of the U.S. sunscreens I’ve tried I still tan through very rapidly even within a 2 hour windows. I would LOVE to be struggling to scrape it off in the shower after I finish

I’ve had the most success with Riemann P20 kids and ordered a liter of it but it’s cost prohibitive to use regularly because I live in the US. I have a suspicion a think mineral sunscreen is my best bet, I’ve tried blue lizard mineral kids SPF 50 and it seems ok but id love to know if you have any more disgusting, repulsive goop to try out thats avalible within the U.S.

So is Abaddon completely full of it?

As I understand it, Abaddon’s stated goal is to overthrow the emperor‘s imperium and create an alternate society where Astartes rule over humanity as pseudo warrior kings. Of course, he’s not empowered to do this alone so he turns to chaos for help, bearing the mark of chaos without fully giving into any one patron. In this way Abaddon *uses* chaos without succumbing to it, using it as a tool instead of being used as a tool.

Exceptttt we are shown time and time again this is *not* how chaos works in the setting. If you try to use it for your own ends it inevitably overtakes you. Abbadon willingly pressing all 4 chaos gods directly into his skull but believing he still retains his agency sounds a heck of a lot like Ahriman, who’d swear seven ways to Sunday he’s just using chaos while he chatters at you from the screaming void in his face.

But let’s just take it at face value that he isn’t a pawn. Abaddon’s goal of building a foil to the imperium seems entirely unrealized anywhere on the series. Every Dark Crusade he mustered was composed of feuding Warbands primed to stab each other in the back the second he stops looking at them. As far as I can tell he is running seriously low on stable, loyal astartes Lieutenants who would be able to evolve into pseudo warrior kings. That is perhaps complicated by the fact that *every* astartes in his retinue seems to be completely chaos brained, which makes it unlikely any of these guys are gonna run a planet as anything but a charnel house for their respective god.

I’m not super caught up on the dark imperium lore, but have we seen *any* indication Abaddon has successfully implemented literally any kind of governance in the regions of space that have completely fallen away from the imperium? As far as I’ve read the entire region is basically a picture of what happens if the galaxy falls to chaos, I.E. a complete mess.

I’m not an OG abaddon guy and may be missing significant parts of the lore. But based on what I have read, he seems completely unserious about actually accomplishing an alternative to the imperium. I read his motivation as a much pettier desire to just do what Horus failed to do, with the window dressing of building literally anything being a thin justification.

The Infinite and The Divine is such a phenomenal piece of 40k media

-Does justice to one of the most iconic characters in 40k (Trazyn) while doing a fantastic job of expanding on the lore of the Necron and *showing not just telling* how fucked up biotransference was

-Weaves a genuine mystery throughout the plot with just enough hints that you can guess what it might be. Actual payoff with a delightful threat that perfectly plays off the character’s flaws and strengths

-Following the evolution of a planet over millennium and sprinkling in all the different ways Necron machinations have manipulated the world is such a peak plot device and AGAIN gives us such a fun opportunity to see these characters at their best and worst (Trazyn should maybe do some more research on what he releases)

-Orks, Humans, Tyranids, Necrons, ELDAR, and a menagerie of sub factions out of time all get lore accurate cameos with battles that don’t just devolve into bolterporn

-Soo many comical moments (there’s a specific scene where Trazyn makes a sarcastic comment and Orikan just stares at him for *an hour* that made me laugh out loud). Genuinely funny prose that perfectly captures the banality of existence as a metal immortal

I could go on and on and on, I’ve read a ton of 40k media but I just can’t get over how *fun* this book is without devolving into abject silliness. It’s genuinely good science fiction that doesn’t require you to come in as a die hard 40k fan to have a good time. Hard to believe it was Rath’s first full 40k novel, can’t wait to see what he does next

Multiplayer PvE players, do you want the game to be harder?

Every now and then I load into PvE lobbies looking to get into the hype, because they’re obviously very popular with the player base. But PvE as it stands just feels so *easy*, I don’t think I’ve ever seen a lobby even close to losing a match.

I think the root problem is really just that AI planes have a really complex game in front of them and aren’t up to playing well at all. And in NO planes are the only real counter for planes, every other form of asset is relatively helpless against properly equipped aircraft, especially if players are coordinating

Im just curious if this is actually working as design though and the player base is totally happy with the state of PvE. I get wanting to get off work and just play an easy(er) game, and leave the stress to the sweats in multiplayer lobbies.
