Planer problems

I have an older Porter Cable planer that I purchased a few years ago. I have only ever used it to flatten wood no wider than 3”. I am now trying to flatten a 12” cutting board and I cannot get it to flatten. I have it on a flat sled with shims, hot glue, etc. to get it stable and I constantly get a convexed top. Tried a different sled, same thing. The bottom of the board is convexed also, so it’s not like one side is concaved and the opposite is convexed. Is it the planer and is there something I can do to adjust it. I just find it strange.

Capped line search

OK. Did something stupid last year. One of my heads was not working correctly so I dug it up to see what the problem was. Didn’t seem to be anything wrong with the head, but I don’t have a new one to try. I noticed that at the time I really didn’t need that one anyway. So I capped it, and you guessed it, did not mark it in any way. Now I want to add a new head there and the grass has completely grown at that area. Any suggestions on how to locate this stupid thing?

Big doodle

Does anybody else have a 90 lb. F1b? I cannot believe how big this boy has gotten. Just wondering how common this is?

Had a fall from a ladder and messed up my shoulder pretty bad. MRI results below. I’m 57 and am wondering if a replacement procedure would be considered by my doctor. I don’t have an appointment with him until the 11th. I have read that a replacement is an easier recovery than surgery to repair (which I had done on my other shoulder 2 years ago).

MRI results.
