Expomentia decreas in ride length
I've found this data on hitchhiking map. Does anyone know why it seams to exponentially decrease?
Has anyone run a regression on the data?
How is this form created?
Maybe this graph does represent the average distances, cars take? (Not included the ultra short ones)
The ride distance is also limited by the hitchhiker's goal. So maybe it's an interaction between those two.
Maybe this shows that the special human beings who take hitchhiker's have a distance pattern like this?
Does come other factors to mind that influence ride distance?
Finally the biggest question, can we learn something out of it? I could think of: 5 percent of all rides are above 300km or something like that. So every 20. Ride could be very long. Or if you want a long ride you have to wait prababbly longer?
I don't know if my conclusions making sense cause hitchhiker's can search for there ride. E.g. ask Druck drivers in particular...
Maybe the data would be more interesting, with included distance the hiker wanted to ride or something like that.
