I wanna try dating a girl

I'm an 18yo female and I've not really figured out my sexuality

Every guy I've talked to or been with disappoints me in one way or the other. They say something and it makes me realise at the end of the day they're still a man

I've only been able to connect with the women in my life on an emotional level. I can talk to them openly about how I feel knowing they'll definitely understand and even resonate with me. I wonder how it'll be when I'm actually in a relationship with a girl. I love the idea of it but I'm not sure it'll work out

My first crush was my best friend from 9th grade. I loved being around her, I loved watching her when she wasn't noticing, I loved to see her reaction when I make/buy something for her. I loved listening to her talk.Once I even felt like I wanted to kiss her. She was standing by the window frame talking and a sudden notion occured in my mind. I've been questioning my sexuality ever since

But I knew I never had a chance because she could never see me that way and there was someone else that she liked. We transferred schools and never saw each other after 10th grade. She's still my bestfriend and we keep in touch

Sometimes I feel like I would be so much happier and comfortable with a girl. I can understand how they feel to some extent and act accordingly

Maybe I should try afterall??

Theism is a coping mechanism

During distress in life, people desperately need something to depend on.

Some lean towards addictions, some towards other people, some go for healthy methods like therapy

And for some others it's in the belief of existence of a higher entity being there to guide them. One of the illogical and inferior arguement that people make is that even non believers call for God instinctively when they're startled or scared.

Ironically that proves my point. That's exactly what the idea of God is- hope during dismal.

For example, in a plane crash, both a believer and non-believer would call out for God. But they both know that nothing's gonna save them anymore, no magical force to rescue them. But the thought occurs nevertheless

So I don't think that faith in God is problematic, but religion definitely is. It's a form of cult making people do horrible things. How do such emotionally intelligent creatures like humans so stupidly worship something non-existant and make their life principles based on it. Blind belief is the death of reason

Thoughts??
