Im eager to start a potential community venture that is available in downtown Kc but not in OP. I wasn’t sure if the average OPian is missing out on that opportunity.
Hello everyone! I’m an improviser in the city and am looking for a space to host an improv jam. Ideally, this would be a weekly gig, free to play for local improvisers.
What I’m looking for is a restaurant, bookstore, cafe, church, or other venue that
- Fits at least 20 people, with seating
- Has at least a little open floor space for performance. (Chairs can be moved)
- can be available until 10 pm on the jam night.
- Would love to help a community blossom and grow.
While I would love to find some sort of partnership to keep the jam free, we can charge between $3-$5 per performer if needed. I’d expect 5-8 jammers to begin, with growth hopefully happening fast thereafter. if your venue serves food, I’m sure some of the guests will partake.
Please let me know if you have any ideas of potential locations, I will go scout them.

The Four Seasons is better
While both shows are classic friend group relationship comedies, The Four Seasons comes across as far more charming.
I’m not a television critic, but here are my thoughts.
What the Four Seasons does better than Not Suitable For Work.
The characters are much deeper emotionally.
The acting is better.
Conversations feel like they could actually happen, as opposed to clearly defined set up structures and punchlines.
Relationships make sense. Not Suitable for Work has not 1, not 2, but 3 inappropriate and irregular sexual relationships in the main cast. They eat benefit from these hookups in various ways.
