Adult Cats With No Vet Records

Hi all,

I’m taking over care of my elderly mother’s cats. She has six and they are all over the age of 5 from the looks of it.
They have no vet records, though they have been fixed. She says she has no idea where she got them fixed at since it’s so many years.

I’m thinking about getting pet insurance for them since I have no idea what I’m walking into. They all look mostly healthy but I’m sure there’s going to be at least one case that needs dental help.

But I’m wary about getting pet insurance and getting denied for pre existing condition since this is certainly an adult cat who has had dental problems for some time. I see that it relies on vet records to determine pre existing, so I should be in the clear.

It just seems a bit too good to be true.
