Thinking I may have ruined my new car seat, needing some help/advice

Hello, we got a Graco model 2215527

I stupidly tried to remove it from the base without thoroughly reading the instructions and ended up pushing the two side buttons to hard thinking they were push tabs.. I pushed in to the point I displaced them.. the other problem is I can’t actually tell what these buttons are for. They don’t appear to say anything in the instructions about them.

Is this a safety issue?? Do I need to replace this car seat. I’m stressed and any pointers or advice would be greatly appreciated. I do have a month (hopefully) until my little one arrives but would like to figure out what to do before she arrives!

Might have broken new car seat- need help

Hello! We got a Graco car seat, after assembly we stuck it in the base and were having issues getting it to come out. There are two side buttons (that I can’t for the life of me figure out what they do. I pushed them in completely on accident.. they are jammed in, but don’t know if they have an actual use. Is this causing a safety issue? It won’t let me post a picture unfortunately
