Do you think this works out better than minimum wage financially and otherwise?
Been doing it a few weeks after a cut in hours in a creative role, to plug the gap.
Manchester city center. Pretty saturated with drivers, but finally got into a rhythm with the best time slots and best / busiest spots for orders. Tend to make £18p/h now every time I drive by being selective - but only counting “driving time.”
Some shifts, if you count the hours you’ve been in the car, it can be less and closer to min wage.
Then you’ve got petrol and wear on your car. But equally, you’re also not getting abused by a shitty manager and have freedom to pick when you work.
I guess I’m thinking out loud while deciding if I’d rather just go stack shelves in a supermarket for guaranteed hours without knackering my car (while idling in a petrol station 😂).
