In the last few days I have seen an awful lot of posts with pic/videos of burst water mains. I know there has always been burst pipes but I seem to be seeing a lot more. Is it due to the temperature drop?
Does anyone remember what voucher used to be on the back of the bus tickets, I'm probably talking about 15-20 years ago. I have a vague memory of it. Was it Macdonalds?
Do any older redditors have any memories of the Liverbirds being referred to by these names years ago. I had never heard these names until about 20 years ago and I'm convinced this is something that has only been around since the tourist boom and was made up by some tourism publicist. I asked my dad who was 80 and born and lived around town for years and he had never heard these names mentioned before.
About 15-20 years ago there was a comedy (I think it was on Sky) It was mostly shot in the old Kwik Save on Canny Farm. They would film scenes in the shop during the day when the shop was open.
