if you don’t put your bust measurement in your ravelry project right now i’m personally coming over to strangle you with a cocoknits retractable tape measure!!!

I’ve just bound off and wove in the ends
on a project I plan to felt. I don’t have a washing machine so I’m planning to felt it in a front load industrial machine at my laundromat. Since I won’t be able to check on the project I’m looking for tips to set myself up for success

- loosely stuffing the bag with a pillowcase or towel to keep it from felting onto itself
- turning it inside out to keep the surface smooth
- washing on hot with a load of towels, sheets etc for agitation

the one thing i want to be aware of though is the straps — is there a way i can ensure they will keep some sort of shape as they’re being tossed around the machine?

since it’s a bag i’m not very concerned about the finished size or gauge, as long as it shrinks ans the fabric stiffens up i’ll be happy.
