Help with a part my hands are too small for
hii sorry, so I don’t really know anything about music theory. I did flute in band and learned how to read sheet music and stuff as a kid, but everything since then has just been me pretty much doing things by ear and vibes. I can still read sheet music, but not quickly, and I can’t really sight-read anymore, so it’s quicker for me to just do things by ear.
The diagram thing for how the left side of my accordion is set up is the attached image.
I’m trying to figure out this song from a video game, but there’s a few parts where I’m supposed to switch between G# and Eb really quickly. Especially with how the strap holds my hand down, my hands are too small to make that stretch. What can I replace it with?
It looks like when I did it by ear, I tried doing B and F#, but I’m not sure that fits well.
I found a video w labeled keys to make it easier to see the part I’m talking about.

I’m trying to figure out starting around 0:48 and around 0:52 is where you first encounter the G#/Ab to Eb thing.
Is there something else I can replace it with without changing the key of the whole thing? I already have the right side down still memorized pretty well from how I was playing it before and I don’t think I’d be able to relearn it in a different key w how much of what I play being dependent on strict muscle memory 😭
(I know long term it would be best to learn sheet music well enough to sight read again but ah well, i’m just trying to have fun)
Also I’m looking for general advice w playing— I’m not sure if I’m sitting or holding or squeezing right, or how to go from push-to-pull or vice versa without at least a slight pause.
