Things are getting phantasmagorical around these parts

I’m in a post-rock/art-rock band in Mexico where I mainly play synths and do backup vocals, but I also launch some samples, play the accordion (in one song) and use minor percussion for a couple of songs. I left a diagram of my current setup, and some pictures too.
I have the CZ/PL 88 MIDI from LewisMidi to recall patches for my Yamaha Recafe CS via sysex. My Reface output is then connected to a Flamma Delay and a Flamma Reverb, and then to a minimixer. I have a Novation launchpad mini connected to an old android phone with Koala sampler, the phone's output is also connected to the minimixer.
For rehearsals, I connect a microphone - for backing vocals - and a wireless microphone - for the accordion - directly to the minimixer and the minimixer output goes to an amplifier.
When playing live, I only connect the synthesizer and the samples to the minimixer, giving me 3 outputs to the venue PA, one from the minimixer with the synth and the samples through a D.I., a second one from the accordion with the wireless microphone that also goes through a D.I., and the third one from the backing vocals connected directly to the console of the venue.
I've been playing the synths for 4 years, and just a couple months with a cheap accordion. I've changed my setup tons of times but I think this is the setup that I'm going to stay with; I've said this so many times I no longer believe my self 🙃
The last picture is from the last week and I've already change that setup to the one I'm showing here because I had some issues during the show with some pedals I was using for the accordion and the vocals 😅
I love my reface ❤️ hope to find other reface lovers

Hello,
I’m a self-learner who has prior experience playing on a piano keyboard and is looking for pieces of music that will be helpful in developing my overall instrument competence with emphasis on my left hand skills.
I’ve learned a couple songs like Kass’ theme from Legend of Zelda, the theme from Amelie, and a beginner version of gymnopedie if that helps at all with figuring out the level of playing I’m at.
Any recommendations of repertoire books, particular pieces of sheet music/covers, or helpful resources with finding out more for myself would be greatly appreciated. I’ve mostly been browsing IMSLP for accordion repertoire to learn.
Thanks in advance
I found this accordion in the back closets of the school I teach at, and according to everybody there it was donated to us by a business nearby that no-longer exists.
Any kind of googling has been very little help, and I was wondering if anybody could point me towards a starting place to help identify it. I'm not looking for an appraisal at all (as per the sub rules).
The photos don't do it justice, but it is decked out with small rhinestones across all the names. Based off the port at the front for the electronics I'm assuming I'm looking at something multiple decades old.
To add an interesting layer, there's a sticker on the back that tells me that Leon was someone from Cumbria, England with a full address. I'm curious to find out how this accordion made it all the way from there to here in Australia. I'm half tempted to write them a letter just on the off-chance they're still alive or have family living there still.
I set it down on my bed for a second and it fell off 😭 now there's a leak in the bellows, and I located the leak to this corner here where it's cracked.
It doesn't feel like it's coming out of the bellow material (?) itself, but rather from where the bellows connect to the frame under this trim.
I know basically nothing about how this accordion is built, but I'm crafty and I have a lot of tools. I'm gonna try my best to fix it. But does anyone know what exactly is broken, and if it's even a possible fix?
Greetings PA/CBA standard bass players! I was wondering if anyone who currently plays with a rock band would care to share how you handle left voicing (if at all) when playing with full band. I know that many folks only play right hand lines when a bass/guitar/drums are present but I was curious to know if anyone uses different registrations in a rock setting to act as part of the rhythm section for comping/pads/etc.
This is a case where I guess accordion more or less occupies the same kind of sonic space that organ might, so I’m thinking of it more along those lines but any insights, hints and pro tips would be greatly appreciated. Also, anyone who plays live with bands who has tips vis a vis rig and signal chain eq would be awesome as well.
All of my instruments have internal mics and I have a Roland as well so getting into the board isn’t an issue, but what you do once you are there is still a work in progress! Thanks in advance for the collective wisdom of the group.
What’s the first accordion YouTube video that comes to your mind if I say: “most French sounding accordion”?
Let’s use this thread as a little french accordion sound collection, so don’t overthink it — just share your immediate first association.
No need to define what “French sounding” means or debate whether it actually is French. The point is the instinctive first thing that pops into your head.
Post the YouTube link 👇
can someone identify the song for me?
thank you so much.
Dear accordionists, I could use some help from experienced players: How would you finger this bass part of the pattern? Is it the pinky (5) that playes the C (root)?
A (root) 4
Am (minor) 2
C (root) 5
Am (minor) 2
Thank you for your support!
I'm kind of broke but I want an accoridon. My friend has 3 so he can lend me one but I want to buy one for myself. Anyone know of a good beginner accordion/cheap accordion. (for context I'm in australia and am looking at around 200 USD or under)
My friend/performance partner and I co-direct the annual qathet Accordion Fest. As a small festival supported by a non-profit music school, our marketing budget is $0. So we get creative! Radio interviews, articles and interviews for local newspapers and magazines, social media, fundraising concerts, and... unhinged accordion videos.
We live in a very small town, so having 235 audience members at our Opening Night Concert was a huge win. Our Accordion Cabaret event sold out weeks in advance. We had 11 performing artists, a 15-piece accordion band, 3 workshops, a sight-reading song circle on the beach, and an accordion parade.
I got my hands on this old piece. According to the guy I bought if from it's at least 100 years old. Imported from Germany as the label says. I'd like to try to make it a bit less unplayable. So:
The sealant on the bellows is disintegrated into black and brittle gunk. Can I - while experimenting- use double sided tape as sealant ? It should come off without ruining anything.
The little leather flaps inside are rigid and many are missing: Where can I get some new ones ( I'm in Northern Europe) . Can I use rawhide ? Or some other leather-like fabric ?
AliExpress advertises Beeswax glue for accordions: is it authentic ? (made from beeswax and resin) or is it just plain , old beeswax ? anyone has experience ?
Can anyone estimate age and brand (other than century-old German
Thanks a lot
With Google eye I figured out it's a malysh and apparently is b chromatic. I really just want a guide or a reference for this particular model. Any insight would be appreciated. Thanks.
ps if such a thing isn't available, am I correct in assuming the marked keys are for c? also, it's not in the best condition. What are some simple things that could make it work better and finally, how the hell does the button (would be key side) work?
Hi all, recently came across a good deal on a used 12 bass/26 treble accordion. As a total newbie in the accordion world (I mostly play guitar, banjo, and mandolin!), coming in with the explicit goal of playing klezmer, do you think this would get the job done? Apologies if this is a stupid or obvious question, lol.
I SUCK at chords, and I can't name one, could you guys help? Thanks!
I got this accordion and Im trying to figure out the exact model of it. I know it’s a Regent made in Italy, it has #3059 on the bottom. I’ve done a lot of research and cannot find anything about it. It had a model name or signature on it at some point but has since peeled off. You can kinda see the outline of the name but it’s hard to makeout. It’s 7 letters, what I’ve been able to make out of it is B*R***D. I think there is also an A in there too. I could be completely wrong. I know this is a long shot but just seeing if anyone had an idea. I can’t attach a video of the lettering outline, which is the best way to see it but I did add photos it. Thanks!
