Looking to get back into fishing this summer. Fished some last summer, caught a handful of bass and a pike but thats it. Never caught any cats before but I really want to. Theres some good spots near me, including a stocked pond. Not sure where to start though. I was planning on setting up 2 rods, one with nightcrawlers and another with chicken liver or hot dogs with koolaid, something weird like that. From what i've seen best bet is circle hook with an egg sinker and a leader but i could be mistaken. Any other tips would be appreciated. Would love to get into catching some cats. Im in se MI, Macomb county btw.
