https://www.kicker.de/klopp-muss-kimmich-staerken-und-nicht-infrage-stellen-1258100/artikel

New player here - not sure where to start

Hi all,

I am a somewhat new player in LoL. I last played it like 10 years ago so it's not completely new to me and I have a grasp of the basic concept, I'd still call myself new.

Now wanting to get back into it but not sure where to start. I also have to say that as a father and full-time employee I don't have that much time to play. Maybe like 1 hour a night or so. I don't have the aspiration to become really good in the game, just maybe that I don't get stomped all the time ^^

So what I already know might be a good start:

- Think about what role I want to play

- Think about what hero I want to play in that role and stick with it

Right now I just play coop vs ai to check out all kinds of champs. But this is where it already ends. Not sure what to learn next. There are so many options but since my time is limited, I'd like to prioritize a bit. Stuff that I consider:

- Laning

- Macro

- Item builds

- Hero mechanics

- Matchups

The laning and macro topics alone are so huge that I have problems breaking that up further and prioritize what might be best to learn first. Guides on the internet are also kinda all over the place and not really that beginner friendly.

Any directions you can point me? Thanks a lot :)

How to get into the game (again)?

Hi all,

since league of legends classic some of my favorite streamers (mainly german streamer HandOfBlood) are starting to produce LoL content again. For me LoL has always been a game I enjoyed watching, always dreamt about being good at, but never actually managed to make it stick playing myself.

I started playing LoL back then right when it released in 2009 with a couple of friends. We knew DoTA from Warcraft III so it was not entirely new to us. It was a blast, just fun, no-sweat games with some noobs against other noobs. Few champions, no real meta and everyone goofing around. Eventually we stopped playing but I accumulated around 120 hours of playtime.

Then like 10 years later I tried to get back into it and what can I say I think I played like 5 games and uninstalled immediately. It felt overwhelming because of all the champions, people were toxic in chat flaming new players left and right and I was getting stomped even in low ELO games and it felt like either there are just no low skill players around or everybody is basically twinking.

But now as I mentioned in the beginning I am feeling that itch again and I might want to install the game yet again and make another try. But I also wanted to ask here in the community:
What is it like to start playing league in 2026? Is it worth to try it as a newbie? I don't fear steep learning curves and super competitive games (my current main game is Hunt: Showdown ~1.2k hours). Have measures been taken to make it easier for beginners?

Thanks and see you in the Rift (maybe.. it is still called Rift no? ^^)

Started wegovy - Side effects are brutal

Hey all,

last week monday I started wegovy 0.25 mg injections. Took my second shot this monday. I did not feel anything the first week really apart of some fatigue creeping in. Today the side effects are kicking my ass. I have strong nausea (no vomiting so far though), my stomach feels like a gas balloon and I frequently have to burp and it tastes and smells disgusting. Also I have explosive, watery diarrhea and feel generally fatigued with occasional dizzyness. I can't even think about eating and drinking feels like work and I only take small sips of water every couple of minutes.

Honestly, even though I just started, this makes me want to quit. Anybody felt or experienced the same? Does it get better? If I do not quit I am already afraid of increasing the dose to 0.5 although I am thinking about staying on 0.25 if it goes on like this.

Any tips appreciated. Thanks.

Face exploration - How to get variation?

Hi all,

I am currently dipping my toes into SDXL via ComfyUI. I want to create an AI Influencer woman. I know boring topic and so on but that's just so you have some context. I am at the very early stages and of course the first thing I want to do is decide on a face.

Currently I am struggling a lot with getting "beautiful but relatable, gorgeos but somewhat girl next-door" faces in bulk with diversity and not the typical AI look. I am using JuggernautXL with a very basic setup although I just started using wildcard prompts but I am still struggling. I also tried other models like Flux2 4B Klein and Juggernaut Z, but so far no breakthrough. I am trying to utilize Claude to help me out but it's not that succesful so far.

Has anyone here been at the same roadblock as I am now and has experience in how to achieve what I need?

Thanks!
