A few days ago, I thought my tort had a tick on her leg, so I kept trying to remove it myself since there's no reptile vet in my area. But now, looking at the area, I suspect it's just a thigh spur since there's the same exact one on the other leg, though I'm not very sure.

Questions
How do you guys trim your canaries nails? Every time I try to pick him up he bites my finger with his beak and I cant hold him at all because he keeps following my finger . I dont know how to explain it
His nails are too long and they hinder him
