Wireless charging mod with actual pictures, parts, and solder points

Two weeks ago, somebody uploaded a mod of the flip mini with a wireless charging mod. Bless him, but that gentleman left us hanging thirsting for instructions so I took the liberty and dug in a little bit.

Basically it’s a pretty straight forward job, you just want to solder the positive lead onto the edge of a capacitor and a negative lead onto the jack itself.

You can solder the red wire (positive) to one of the two points, however, I suggest using the one on the left since there is much more space for you to work with. The black lead can go anywhere on the plug housing.

Then you want to stick the ferrite sticker shiny side against the battery and place it kind of in the middle. Dont skip this step because this is what prevents conversion loss as heat.

On closing the case, it’s a squeeze but as long as you don’t run the wire through the middle and route it around you should be able to close just fine.

Please do not attempt this unless you have the right tools and know that this is a DIY job and that I am just sharing this with everybody as information to do what you will with. I nor anybody here is liable if you mess something up so ask lots of questions before you start.
