Has anyone experienced ageism?

I was told this is an issue at Boeing but I’ve never seen this first hand before. I’m pushing 40 and still very much want to climb the corporate ladder and considering going back to school. Have you seen this at Boeing? Is it too late for me?

Should I make the switch?

I have an opportunity to join a commercial GC as a PE, with no experience in construction but several years of other PM experience. I want to work on larger projects but I was told the PE role is a lot of work and I will need to put in a lot of hours. I’m ready to start a family and not really looking to work 12 hour days right now. Is the skill set I’ll gain in the role worth the hours I need to put in? I’m not sure what to do. My current job is very low key and flexible but the pay is not good and I need to make more
