I just received my synapse carbon and the assembly has become a nightmare. The first photo shows all the parts I received for the seat post installation. After browsing around, I’m starting to think the package is missing the wedge/clamp part… is that the case or am I just dumb and these are all the parts required? Any help would be extremely appreciated!

Are there strong opinions on whether one or the other is an absolutely bad purchase? I’ve been on the fence for a few weeks now.
The 4 is just at the limit of my budget, while the 5 gives me a breather for nicer pedals and accessories. Aesthetically, I prefer the frameset of the 4.
For their price tag, does the electronic shifters justify getting the 4 over the 5?
Synapse Carbon 4 and 5 are both referred to in the website as “SmartSense compatible”. I notice that synapse carbon 3 mentions it’s “SmartSense equipped”.
What does this mean exactly? Would I have to order all SmartSense accessories as extras for the 4 and 5 models? Are they worth it?
