Step by step guide on how I converted a Ridgid 18v Multi-Material Saw into a 3/8 in. belt sander. Motivated by some other posts on here, I grabbed a 2nd Multi-Material Saw during the DTO father's day sale and used the one I already had for this.

Have been using it without any issue.

No permanent modifications are made to the Ridgid Multi-Material Saw. So you should be able to reassemble it to send in for LSA if needed.
