We put Paleolith's main menu on a cave wall. Would this get annoying after a few launches?

Paleolith is a survival game set 40,000 years ago. We wanted the menu to feel like part of the game, so we placed the options on a cave wall. When you move between them, the character's hand follows the wall and touches the painting you select.

The art is still a work in progress, so we're mostly interested in how the menu feels to use.

Does the hand movement add to the experience, or does it make navigating the menu feel too slow?
