I built ButterShortcuts - Chrome extension for Webflow

Inside Webflow designer,

BS = Bullshit ❌

BS = ButterShortcuts ✅

I built ButterShortcuts — A chrome extension for Webflow that provides keyboard shortcuts for power users of Webflow and visual designers

v1 ships — Class Copy/Paste

Copy pasting classes between Webflow elements

Copy all classes from selected element — Cmd + B + C

Paste classes to the selected element — Cmd + B + V

More shortcuts are in the pipeline and will be released in coming weeks 🚀💪

My idea is for ButterShortcuts to be a growing list of shortcuts to improve visual designer workflows.

Do try it out and shoutout to your visual designer friends!!

Also share what shortcut SHOULD be there in ButterShortcuts.

The extension is live in the chrome web store. Link in comment.

Software Engineer: I am at crossroads. Unable to decide. Help? (I will not promote)

I am 29. From India.

I completed my college in 2018. Took some risks instead of getting into a conventional job. Got 3 yrs of gap in first years of career then 5 yrs of experience working in Web development domain as a Software engineer. 0 experience working from an office. After 4yrs of working, I feel I have very less technical depth & width.

Quit my job this month and now I am figuring out deliberately my next best move. My long term goal is to be building a startup 3-5yrs down the road. And i want the decision i make right now to support that long-term goal.

What would be a best course of action at this point? Save up as much money working remotely or taking up a startup job where I am working in an office setup (How would this benefit me..).

I see 2 paths:

  1. Use existing skills to work for offshore agencies remotely, where compensation is more.
  2. Get into a startup as a product engineer where I'd enter as a SDE2 (best case).

Appreciate your advise and correct me if I am wrong. TIA

I built an open source CLI tool to wipe Webflow collections (delete all items)

Hi there,

As a follow-up to the Webflow de-reference tool I built,

I am also dropping this tool I just released - "Webflow-Collection-Wipe" - I think you people will find it useful.

This tool helps you delete all items in given webflow collections. Basically "wipes" given collections. It also has the option to WIPE ALL collections in a Webflow site.

Please test it out and share your feedback.

PS: If you are looking for a custom Webflow expert, I am just one DM away. At the moment, I am just to looking to contribute & make new connections.

I built an open source CLI tool to de-reference Webflow collection items

Hi there,

I built an open source CLI tool to de-reference Webflow collection items 2 years ago.

This tool helps you de-reference all reference/multi-reference fields in given Webflow collections after which you can easily delete bulk items from them.

It is particularly useful in situations when you are dealing with complex CMS setups that has multiple reference/mult-reference fields, and bulk delete of CMS items gets frustrating.

I just pushed a small patch update to ensure automatic rate limit handling so the tool doesn't crash on large collections.

Test it out & share your feedback on comments. Also let me know what you want me to be building next.

How much can Indian webflow devs make working for US based agencies?

Just curious.

I am a Webflow Dev based in India. And my work for past 3.5yrs mostly involved working in a Indian agency for US clients, doing custom coded full-stack Webflow project. More of coding & developing UI components in Webflow.

How much can i potentially make working for US based agencies?
