Jim's Lies and Deceit Continues. Please Beware.

There have been some interesting new developments on the seller, Jim. He was inadvertently exposed two days ago for shilling and pretending to be a buyer on Reddit by a post that connected Jim to a Reddit user via the same name used for a Zelle payment. Since then, he has launched a misinformation campaign attempting to normalize and bury this. Jim also continues to create new Reddit accounts in an attempt to circumvent his sitewide ban where he already has at least 3 of his accounts banned already.

All of this I have continued to update and document here: https://hartofalyon.substack.com/p/navigating-h-rep-subreddits. Please see the latest updates from yesterday and the day before. If you haven't seen this doc before, keep scrolling for more details about Jim's bots, alts, and fake reviews.

I fully expect Jim to utilize his downvote brigade and alts to attack this post. Don't engage with them and let the evidence speak for itself. Help by upvoting, commenting, and sharing so this post reaches more people.

Oh, and this post's photo? That's a PSP of Jim's PHW padlock. Maybe if you tilt your head and squint just right, the engraving will look straight.

The Rep Check Weekly #5: Hey yo, what's good?

Welcome back to another edition of The Rep Check Weekly. If you've missed the previous editions, be sure to check them out:

This week, we're doing something different and instead of calling out QC issues, we're going to be taking a look at what's being done well. I shouldn't have to say this but I'll say it anyways, I'm not affiliated with nor do I personally recommend any of the sellers listed below and doing one thing well doesn't mean everything else is done well. With the disclaimers out of the way, let's dive in.

1. Nice leather you got there (Frank)

I personally love Togo with character and this one checked all the boxes. Subtle veins, grain variation, and texture. Love, love, love.

2. It's the small things that matter (Minion)

No one really looks at it. No one really notices it. But you still went ahead and ensured the hardware on this MK shoulder strap is as accurate to auth as can be. Bravo.

3. When you care about the inside as much as the outside (Frank)

Seeing a seller understanding the nuance of the zipper slide shape, the texture of the pull, and the fine sewn herringbone pattern of the tape, it does bring a smile to my face. Not perfect, but pretty darn close.

4. Going the extra mile with the accessories (Mark)

As a high-tier seller, when you start to question "who's going to see that?" in order to cut costs, you've already lost the plot. Proper font sizes and a centered keyhole, this cadena has all the right details. Kudos.

If you didn't like this and are here for brutal teardowns, I hear you. Maybe I'll post a mid-week check to satisfy that itch. Until then, have an amazing rest of the weekend!

Are subs with no mods eligible for redditrequest?

A community recently lost all their mods and I think Reddit set the sub to restricted as a result. I tried a r/redditrequest but it says it wasn't eligible due to recent human mod activity. Wouldn't this be considered an edge case because the sub has no mods currently and it actually should be eligible? I'm waiting for a response from support and modmail regarding this, but wanted to see if anyone here knows the rules surrounding this. Thank you.
