Hi everyone,

I have a 2004 Polaris Sportsman 400 4x4 (425cc, 4-stroke). It sat unused for quite a while, and now I can't get it to start.

So far I have replaced:

• The battery
• The spark plug
• The spark plug cap (boot)
• The spark plug wire

The ATV powers up normally, and the engine cranks when I turn the key, but it will not start.

While troubleshooting, I checked for spark and confirmed that the spark plug is not producing any spark at all.

At this point I'm not sure what else to inspect. I'm looking for a service manual or wiring diagram to continue diagnosing the problem, but I haven't been able to find one that clearly matches my model.

Has anyone experienced a similar issue or have any suggestions on what I should check next?
