Cancelled overtime tomorrow

Have just had my overtime cancelled for tomorrow. This has happened many times but this really pissed me off today. Asked if they could originally move that shift as I had a personal thing to take care of, told they couldn't move it and I had to cancel that, now they've cancelled the shift with 1 day notice.

Is this legal? I know overtime can be cancelled at their discretion but surely if its put on the published schedule then there must be some restriction on cancelling the shift. Obviously if I turned up they couldn't cancel the shift one minute before I started for example. Seems like it would be at least 24 hours notice. Any help?
