Is it safe to walk around Birmingham alone as a teenage girl?

I'm 18 and I'm visiting Birmingham this summer with my dad and brother. I really want to go shopping and explore some of the parks. But they have no interest in anything like that so I was thinking of exploring alone without them. But I'm just wondering if it's safe to do so, or if there are any places I should avoid or places I should stick to.

If it helps I'm from Dublin, Ireland and I've gone in to town by myself for years and years so I do know how to recognise dodgy areas, tourist traps, sketchy people on the street tying to sell stuff or trying to preach something, dealers, and when I should hold on to my handbag and watch my pockets.

Ofc I've never been to Birmingham so I have no idea if it's more dangerous there or not.

Edit: I can't believe that I got awful PMs within 2 minutes of posting this

Tbh I'm cooked for this year. I'm in 6th year and I've been thinking about repeating, but will I have to learn 2 years worth of brand new content since it's being reformed? And everything that I spent the last two years doing is going to be useless? What do I do??
