Which of London’s best hotels are worth the price?
I’m planning a weekend in London for my birthday and wanted to choose a hotel that will make the trip for me and my partner feel genuinely special. I’m fortunate that budget isn’t really a limiting factor, but I do care about feeling that the experience is worth what I’m paying for. For me personally I’m less interested in paying for a name or a pricing strategy than in staying somewhere that delivers exceptional hospitality and attention to detail and naturally I understand that worth and value are totally relative.
For example however, I’ve heard mixed things about the Chancery Rosewood and The Peninsula, particularly about the service in their early days relative to the cost, although I understand both have improved considerably.
Where do you feel the experience is truly exceptional and where the money translates into something memorable? I’d love somewhere that feels special without feeling overly formal or showy.
I was targeting Brown’s Hotel as I heard they recently had a renovation but I’m not sure yet. Thanks!
