Hi, I am switching back to Mediacom at my 2nd residence (soon to be primary residence at the first of the year) but I am wanting to know what modem I will be getting. I plan on selecting the the 300dl/20ul package right now as the residence is empty but will be wanting to switch over to the 5k dl/1k ul package around may next year when we are fully moved in and will have 7+ people using devices. If I sign up for the 300dl package right now will I be issued a docsis 4.0 modem and then be able to call in may and just upgrade my service over the phone or will I have to call and upgrade my service and send my old modem back and install a new one? I would solve this all by just purchasing my own 4.0 modem but I don’t think they are available for retail purchase yet.

You think it’s weird to shower at home together? I’m 29 and my step son is 14. I have been taking him to the gym for about the past year and we shower there almost every morning. Now that I have our home gym done do you think it would still be weird for us showering together? The gym is in our barndominum behind our house and the bathroom in the gym part is a wet room(center drain and tile to the ceiling) so it can just be hosed down after we get done riding quads or working outside. 2 shower heads, 2 shower control valves, urinal, toilet and sink. We used it this morning after our workout and felt just like we were at our gym but just wondering if I should be showering in the house while he’s in the gym shower.

I am having a inground pool installed and the Mediacom wire runs directly through the area. They are starting to dig tomorrow so that’s when the wire will be cut but the electrician will be here Friday to trench some other electrical and stuff running to the utility easement. I need to get about 200ft of the orange direct burial for my electrician to trench from the dmark box (idk if I’m spelling that right) to the utility easement pedestal. I know Mediacom will have to come terminate it and everything but I just need to get the exact direct burial wire Mediacom uses because my electrician said they only want the stuff they use and he doesn’t have that. Can I just stop by my local office and have them cut me the cable off one of their trucks or do I need to order it or what?
