Receiver favoring left side

Hello! I just picked up this Kenwood KR-3600, and i’m finding that it sends way more signal (particularly bass) to the left side rather than the right. The balance knob feels like a really poor solution to this, especially with the lacking bass on the right side. I’ve tried multiples audio sources and inputs, wiring my speakers to the b side rather than the a side, i’ve tried new speaker wire altogether, nothing seems to help. Any suggestions? Do i need to get it serviced? Am I screwed? Thanks in advance!

Gear Compatibility Question

I’m about to pick up a Kenwood KR-3600 (22W into 8 ohms) to use with my jbl 2500s (88db sensitivity, 8 ohms, 10-80W RMS). The Kenwood receiver operates at only half the wattage of my previous receiver. I live in a small apartment and am not at all worried about volume, but i know there’s more to it than that in terms of compatibility.

Essentially, I’m just wondering if these will be compatible! By no means am I an audiophile, so I’d love to be educated on how to match amps and speakers. Thanks!
