The poop thing

Apparently this is a somewhat common thing, where when you take Bupropion, you sometimes see it on the other side of your digestive system. Usually mine comes out surrounded by either a yellow or green squishy substance, and then the pill is in tact inside. And it’s not a capsule, it’s become powder encased in this weird ball. And the whole thing has the texture of a Gusher… which makes me never want to eat Gushers again. But does this mean that the pill isn’t actually doing anything? If I’ve got nearly the whole thing showing up in the toilet the next day, then that can’t mean I’m actually getting all the benefits, right? I don’t see my doctor for another month and this has just been on my mind for a while.

How to wear a short dress with thunder thighs

I just bought a dress from Hot Topic and I’m in love with it. It’s a black dress with corset ties in the back. It’s got tank sleeves that I can easily pair with any blouse I’ve got. But it’s very short. My friend said I can wear biker shorts and a petticoat to add length but I don’t know how to use petticoats like that. I was thinking I could wear tights or leggings with it, but I’m still afraid of looking goofy. I look really good in this dress, but I’m afraid of looking like a clown.

It comes down in the front well enough and it covers everything in the back but as soon as I bend over slightly or try to sit down I’ll have a problem. I work with children and I go to their houses. I have to sit and bend over constantly. But I can’t bend down by squatting, I have to bend over at the hips, because I don’t have any cartilage in my knees. And I have MASSIVE THUNDER THIGHS. Even before I was fat, I had people asking if my butt was real. So there’s a lot to cover.

I’ve just been wearing skirts that go to my knee because I don’t trust anything shorter than that, but I want to wear shorter things! I want to have the confidence to do so, at least if I pair it with something more modest.

Best smartwatch alternative?

I’ve been looking into getting an Apple Watch for quite a while because I have POTS and EDS. What drew me to the Apple Watch is that it has fall detection which I desperately need. It can call 911 if I pass out or dislocate a kneecap (again) and call my mom or other emergency contacts. It also has my ICE information on there like preexisting health conditions, medications, allergies, emergency contacts, etc. and it can also detect if my heart rate goes dangerously high. But it would mean that I can never truly ditch my iPhone. I eventually want to switch over to dumb tech as much as possible with the exception of what I need for health or work purposes. Does anyone have any recommendations? I know there’s LifeAlert but I’d forget to wear it. Medical ID bracelets are expensive and I can’t change them without paying for a new one when my info changes a lot. And I’ve had mixed luck with heart rate monitor bracelets, though that was ten years ago. Any recommendations?

Best SD card provider?

I just snagged a Barbie phone from HMD. I’m going to use it for primarily work purposes since I have to take a lot of calls and texts for my job. And I don’t really need data but a little bit here and there wouldn’t hurt in case of unforeseen circumstances. I live in DFW area and it seems like the whole metroplex gets pretty good coverage with most providers, but I’m not sure what would be best. Anyone have any recommendations for something that’s got good coverage, but it cost affordable?

How can I play a glissando without cheating?

I’ve been playing for over twenty years and I’ve never been able to play a glissando properly with the fingernails. My mom, who’s a seasoned pianist piano teacher, can’t exactly figure out what’s wrong. We tried the angle I’m going at, how hard I press, but every single time I scrape my cuticles and make them bleed. I have Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome and I figured that might be part of it because my skin is stretchier and more fragile than most, but she also realized that my nails are shorter because I bite and pick at them. So maybe if I grew them out? I don’t bite or pick at them if I have acrylics, but usually I haven’t been able to get them short enough to play piano comfortably. Does anyone know if there’s something I’m missing? It hurts so bad that I can’t exactly practice it. And then how are children supposed to play it? I also teach piano and it’s the one skill I know I can’t teach, though none of my students have had to learn it yet. For those that do play piano and also have acrylics, how do you tell your nail techs what you want?

Other historical texts

I’ve been trying to collect a good chunk of historical texts and I want to see if there’s anything else I’m missing. I have the Poetic and Prose Eddas (though I’m going to get a better translation of the Prose Eddas eventually), a giant copy of the Sagas of the Icelanders, and a pocket Havamal. I also want to get a good copy of Beowulf, though I know that’s more Anglo-Saxon. Are there any other historical texts I should look into for my collection?
