What’s a good OTD price Shopping for a new xsr900

I’m in late stages of negotiating with several different local and out of state dealers and the dealer fees are all over the place. What’s a good / great OTD price for a new 2026 at this time? Appreciate your help.

Dealer shenanigans are intense.

Upgrade from 2023 Honda CB500x

Background:

Aggressive adventurer, rock climber, do all the sports fit in shape, know how to handle myself.

Casual motocross rider for 6 months 10 years ago. No accidents

Approx 4 months accumulated moped riding recently in Asia, no accidents

Just finished 2 months of riding a 2023 Honda CB500X in Bali w no accidents.

Just turned 50 look and feel 30. 190 lbs 6 ft 1”

The CB500X was fun in Bali but seemed gutless over 60 mph. Feeling confident to get a middle weight 700 or 900 bike for riding in Austin Tx.

I like riding with my partner 5’6” 110lbs long legs. She’s willing to ride anything but if I buy something with a shit pillion she’ll inevitably ride less and I enjoy 2 up. She loved riding pillion on the CB500X.

Looking at street naked, retro, adv.

Like the looks of the retro naked bikes but the seem to suck for pillion.

Transalp look like a compromise, not great at touring, off road, or commuting solo.

I guess I’m looking for a grown up CB500x that can handle highways speeds 80+ in Austin on tollway, ride 2 up, be fun to commute, don’t really imagine wanting multi day touring, probably 1-2 hours max most of the time 30 min. Like reliability. Cost isn’t too much of a concern. Don’t water a liter bike yet, not ready for that. Bad road or gravel road 5-10% of the time in rural Tx.

Love the look of the xsr 900 or the like or other retro bikes.

Suggestions?
