I noticed that most posts covering Louis Tomlinson's 16th anniversary but only highlighted a few of the popular songs. Since Louis is my favorite and I'm a lifelong Directioner, I thought it would be worth documenting everything he shared while reminiscing about the band's journey.

So I went through all of his stories, compiled every song along with his comments, and even made a playlist so you can listen along in the same order.

I think moments like these deserve to be preserved because they're such a rare glimpse into how Louis feels looking back at One Direction after 16 years.

Stockholm Syndrome — "Had to do something but back to it now."

Infinity — "Did we end up releasing the video for this? I'm sure we filmed one and it got scrapped, but could be wrong."
Long Way Down — "The kind of song that makes me so incredibly proud of where we ended up. Lush production. Far too good for a 'boy band'."
Olivia — "Soooo many of this record never got played live. Did we ever do this? Baaaanger."
What a Feeling — "Again, different kind of quality to a song like this. Huuuuge."
I Want to Write You a Song — "Looooved my chorus vocal on this."

I've also made a playlist with all of these songs in order if anyone wants to relive the journey alongside Louis. ❤️

I've been a Spotify Premium Duo subscriber for years. My brother is in college, and Duo was the perfect plan for us. We never cancelled it. We had no intention of cancelling it.

This month, my bank failed to process the payment.

One payment.

That's all it took.

Spotify downgraded my account to Free, which I thought was fine because I assumed I'd just update my payment method and continue my subscription.

Instead, I was redirected to the new pricing plans. My Premium Duo plan had vanished.

I contacted support expecting this to be an easy fix.

The response?

"Since your payment failed, your subscription ended. Legacy Duo plans are only available to users whose subscriptions never stopped. We can't restore it."

So let me get this straight.

I didn't cancel.

I didn't ask to change plans.

I didn't decide to stop paying.

My bank failed one transaction, and Spotify permanently took away the plan I'd been paying for all these years.

This isn't even about the money.

I can easily afford the new plan. I would have happily continued paying.

This is about how unbelievably anti-customer this policy is.

I've been a paying Premium customer for years. I have more than 1,300 liked songs, countless playlists, years of listening history, and I genuinely loved Spotify. I recommended it to friends, family, and colleagues because I believed it was the best music streaming service. My brother and I used Duo every single day.

And this is how loyal customers are treated.

One payment fails because of a bank issue, and years of loyalty suddenly mean absolutely nothing.

Customer support was polite, but they couldn't do anything. The answer was simply, "Sorry, we can't restore your plan."

That's honestly pathetic.

I'm done.

I'll be exporting my playlists and moving to Vanced. I'll also find other methods for Alexa and other premium features. If I can't find a suitable solution, I'll build one myself.

Spotify didn't lose me because of increased prices.

Spotify lost me because they chose a policy that punishes loyal customers for a single payment failure.

What an incredibly disappointing way to treat people who've supported your platform for years.

Goodbye, Spotify.
