OP's opinion: I overall like this song, but it's just fine for me. Maybe it's a little bit too high, cause there are fun songs like this one that are better.

I swear I can hear Harry's voice with a mix of Zayn's on the chorus specifically on the second part("One breath and it's over, The end of an era"). I can also imagine the rest of the boys harmonizing with each other during the bridge part. Tell me I'm not crazy😭 Am I the only one or has my delusion reached a new level? 🥹

Is the "Diana" song meant to be a love letter to THIS Diana?

Ive always loved this song and Ive never been able to find any real confirmation on this (at least that I can remember)

If it was indeed written as some romance or love track for Lady Diana, I find that quite unique and curious. Its not really something I imagine a pop group or artist would do. For example, if I'm not mistaken, I dont think any male American artist has ever written a song for any former first lady of the U.S.

One Direction DJ night ❤️

All 1D for 4 hours straight while the video diaries and This Is Us movie play on repeat on the TVs !!!! So much fun to talk lore and favorites all night long. It felt like being at one of their concerts again, with everyone singing along and screaming and losing our voices :,) we miss you, Liam. #1D4L

what's your dream reunion tour?

since liam's death, i've felt that a reunion is not only even less likely than before, but also undesirable.

but i've been listening to niall's new song "little more time" on repeat, and it sounds a little like a (matured) one direction song to me–to the point where i can imagine backup vocals from the other boys. and it's got me imagining a reunion tour that includes performances of each other's solo work and thinking about ways they could honour liam. (liam loved the band and the fans so much, a reunion itself feels like something that would honour his memory, now that i think about it.)

do you all still hope for a reunion one day? if it happened, what would you want it to be like?

Ready to Run sounds so familiar and I can’t put my finger on it

It’s been a while since I took a trip down memory lane and listen to od (it’s somehow harder since Liam).
I just re listened to Ready to Run and it’s sounds like something I used to listen when growing up (2000s).

I have a feeling it’s from a movie (probably animated?) and its more obvious when they sing this part: “this time I’m ready to run, escape from the city and follow the sun”. I might be making it up I don’t know, but every time I listen to it I have this déjà vu feeling. Does any one have a guess and want to put an end to this decade-long mystery ? Thank you !

OP's opinion: This placement is probably the one that has pmo the most. LBD is probably my favorite song that has already been ranked, and it's my favorite MM song, so seeing it this low, so close yet so far from the halfway point, makes me sad. But as I always say, this is your ranking, not mine!

End Of An Era

So I just finished listening to Niall’s new album. So far, my favourites are Boys Are Fun and Pretty.
I got to the last song though, End Of An Era, and I just melted. It got to the second chorus, and I realised what the song’s about. Hearing him sing his thoughts and feelings about Liam’s death just broke me, in a good way. It’s good knowing he still thinks about Liam, and even better having a song that I think we can all relate to in some kind of way.

I miss my sister so much “once in a life time” was her top Spotify song 2024

Listening to it right now. She was in a car accident this may she was only 19 my heart is breaking and I feel so hopeless and along. One direction was one she listened to more a few years ago but still I know she liked them. I requested the song for her funeral service and they played it. I feel like the giant gaping hole is going to swallow me up I miss all the things we shared together. 💔

she is younger than me but I started like one direction because of her. I play thier songs in my car when I am driving by myself and it makes me feel like she’s with me. I think everyone thought it was silly I wanted a one direction during the service as one of the song as the other two songs where Christian songs she liked but I think I’ve converted my family members. They love this song now too

Who follows who on Insta

Maybe I’m reading too much into this but I was looking into all of the boys accounts and realized they aren’t all following each other.

Harry isn’t following anyone, despite Louis, Niall, and Liam following his account.

Zayn is only following Louis’s account.

Louis follows Niall, Harry, and Liam but not Zayn.

Niall follows Harry, Louis, Zayn, but doesn’t follow Liam.

Liam is following all of the boys accounts.

I’m surprised Zayn only follows Louis’s account, especially since Louis doesn’t follow him back. Also sad to see Harry doesn’t follow anyone at all. It makes me happy to see Liam following everyone, seems so fitting. Niall following everyone except Liam makes me wonder if it was always that way or if this is recent.

What’s your guys take on this, does anyone know why this would be?

I Would takes the #54 spot.

OP's opinion: Honestly, I never particularly liked this one. Not long ago it finally started to click with me, but I still think it's an okay song. I think its placement is alright, but maybe a little too high, mainly because 1D has so many good songs that okay ones get pushed back to the bottom of the ranking.
