Ero-Lolita discussions on Twitter/X
Recently, I've seen a lot of discussion from Japanese and Western Twitter accounts about ero lolita, and I believe it stemmed from a South African person asking their 250 followers about trying ero lolita; the post was shown to Korean lolitas who then harshly criticized/insulted them for it, as "ero" is considered extreme language in both Japanese and Korean. Then, even Mana got involved.
On one hand, the word "ero" is considered extreme in Japanese; it was suggested at one point but it never caught on, and several Japanese people have asked it to be categorized as "fetish lolita" or "goth" instead. However, "fetish" is considered extreme in the same way "ero" is, and I've noticed there are some people who state that it's OK to use this in Western spheres. What are your thoughts?
