Why is gwak am still not dead?

Just reached the part where SEH meets underworld deity, and directly after is the radiance hall meeting.

Gwak am was described as like the most evil supreme deity in history, and since it was said that he supported vast cold that means that he has been a supreme deity and a pain in the ass for the radiance hall for hundreds of thousands of years, even more so than the god of death was

So...Why is he not dead? It was mentioned that he was sealed, but in that case why was he just not killed outright?

Same thing when he went on a rampage destroying all of the heavenly domains, why wasn't he stopped? There were several other supreme deities and heavenly venerables that were capable of stopping him (unless he's just THAT goated)

For being the most evil supreme deity and one of the most vile cultivators I really don't understand why he isn't dead yet, unless it gets explained later on>!!<

RTOC's characters and their personalities

I'm currently at 999th cycle, only a few chapters off 1000th and throughout reading rtoc I just couldn't shake off that the characters felt...bland

Obviously not all of them, it goes without saying that characters like SEH, Hweol, mad lord stand out even if you compare them to other webnovels...but that is where it ends

I do not like comparing, but it's investable if i want to make my point clear, and that is that majority of the main cast feel personality-less and bland

I'll start from the beginning, and that is buk hyang hwa. Holy shit was she boring, she was a good character for the story but stand alone? She was...bland. I could not name you a single personality trait about her that isn't related to being an artesian

And on the topic of love interests, Hong su ryeong...I actually liked her, she felt different and then she just dies, like okay. It felt like she could've been so much more than what she amounted to, and her being a love interest to SEH could've been more than what we got

And then there's kim yeon. Even though i see a lot of people hating on her I don't actually dislike her that much...but as most characters in my opinion are, she was and is bland. I genuinely cannot name you a personality trait beyond her being shy, loving SEH and enemies to friends with buk hyang hwa. (though i am aware that tremendous was forced by korean readers to make her the love interest, so I do understand why it kind of ended up this way)

Aside from SEH's love interests, the main point I'm trying to illustrate is that most of them had little to no traits, quirks, and such.

Most characters in RTOC feel extremely bland, very few of them even speak differently from each other. Though, my biggest gripe is that they're all unbearably boring...like really boring

I'm going to compare it to a series like dao of bizzare immortal, all of the characters (even in the earliest chapters) felt distinct, there were several characters very distinct from each other in one way or another that just made it feel a lot more lively to read, even LOTM that wasn't heavily focused on klein's interpersonal relationships made the characters feel distinct from each other, as well as illustrating that they had different feelings for eachother (Which i think that I'm also missing, as the enders seemingly don't have any opinions on each other outside of on oh hye seo)>!!<

And then there's also SEH's obsession with his companions. Now, this may just be me but I've never actually seen SEH interact with his friends...like they're friends? For someone who has spent hundreds of years with only KYH in the head realm you'd think we get entire dedicated moments to SEH spending time with them, but I genuinely cannot recall them if there were even any other than his time at the azure creation sect and oh hyun seok

I do understand that they view him differently because of just how fast he's cultivating in their eyes, but if that's what the author was trying to portray...that still makes the characters feel bland

I do not remember any enders interacting with each other, whether it be just them casually speaking, maybe even playing old games from earth or reminiscing about their life, they feel like they're strangers to each other; even if you want to say that they were never really that close on Earth, you'd think that the fact that they are from earth trying to return back home would bring them closer...but apparently not

What I think bugs me the most is how little the characters interact, this also makes kim yeon's love towards SEH feel more forced than it already is, because we don't actually see them interacting in ways that even friends would,

But this also goes for any other character. They interact with each other so little, are so bland and feel like they're not even that different from each other despite having completely different upbringings in the cultivation world that it's tedious to get through at times, with the only saving grace being the antagonists
