In S4:E10, in the context of discussing the female fighter pilot facing a court martial for having an affair, Leo brings up that the President fired the ambassador to "somewhere in South America" for having an affair with "the president's daughter". President Bartlett says it was the ambassador to Brazil and attempts to differentiate between the two situations by pointing out he asked for a resignation rather than firing and that he set the ambassador up in the private sector. This is a call back to Ken Cochran in S1:E21, except he was the ambassador to Bulgaria and he was having an affair with the prime minister's daughter.
