Hi all,
I've noticed in the past weeks that there's quite some passive, but large interest threads to protest again the US events on 28 June. I've looked up the requirements to apply for a protest permit, but since I've never organized one I'm skeptical about the chances that I'd do it right. Since a protest can be requested until 10 days before the scheduled event, I was wondering if anyone would be up to help and/or advise me on how to improve the chance to make this happening.
I want to be crystal clear that I don't want to join any protest that'd include groups with other priorities of interest, I want to make clear that I'm pro-democracy, and against US authoritarianism and Netanyahu's vessel Bill Wite in a peaceful manner. and that I'm against the appropriation of one of the few public spaces where people can enjoy their time in one of the few green(er) areas in our capital.
Feel free to PM, or comment here. I'm eager to learn more about our rights to show our values, and I want to participate more than ever. Even if I'd have to go alone without a permit.
Enjoy your weekend in our free and relatively modest country. And my apologies for using yankee language. Thanks.

dear all,
being involved for almost 20 years in underground electronic music, I've always had the intention to stay away from social media use as much as possible.
however, after the message board and Myspace era Facebook emerged - and from my perception this also ignited the first forms of (self)promotion for DJ's and artists in general. I might be wrong, but based on what I hear Instagram only accelerated and enlarged this phenomenon.
after a few conversations with both 'underground' artists and event/club promotors I quickly realized that you can either play the game (in your own terms and preferences), and if you don't it's practically inevitable that this will have an impact in your opportunities to frequently perform. last week I had an interesting and open talk with an experienced booking agent, and he told me that the his artists with the most engagement (and of course often skillset) on their socials are the ones that frequently but sparingly give insights in their person(ality), daily life, aesthetic views and above all radiate an authentic perception to their social media followers.
Therefor I'm curious what this community generally accepts and appreciates when they start following an artist on Instagram for example. I've been told that the general public, just like myself, doesn't care about 'a video where things are cooking in the studio', seeing stories of DJ's waiting at an airport gate with their feet resting on a Rimowa trolley or video's post-performance with crappy sound made my someone in the audience.
TLDR: which content do you enjoy the most from artists on social media posts and/or stories? and which type of posts make you delete them from your follow list because they start to annoy you?
thanks a lot for sharing your insights. highly appreciated.
