Is this legit or a scam?

I received a call yesterday from somebody claiming to be a Telus representative. I recently switched to Telus internet and as a new Telus customer they offered me a deal on a Telus mobile plan. I heard the plan and agreed. They then requested my drivers license number, expiry date, and date of birth to run a credit check (this was the information asked of me when I ordered my internet, so I didn't think twice). They said I would receive my new SIM in the mail.

Anyway, I received a confirmation email from "activation.no.reply.tm@telus.com", which sort of set off alarms in my head. So, I am just curious if I am just overthinking here--was this a scam?
