Hi all, im a first time mom of a 2y.o girl. We were out and my child wanted to play with another girl that may be 1 year older than her for example she would babble (she cant speak yet, and show her baby doll toy to the other girl) and the mom of the other girl looked at my kid and said ‘she doesnt want to play with you’ and so i called my kid over to me. My question is my daughter couldnt understand the lady but when shes older she will be able to and i can imagine it will hurt her feelings. How do i approach this scenario and other scenarios like this? I guess im asking how do i tell my daughter others may not want to play with her without upsetting her or having her take it personally? I can imagine things like this happening again since my daughter is very social.
