So I was a day away from purchasing a ibex 450 and now I'm seeing some new legislation that will ban at a minimum the connected software in the US that there's bikes use. Is this a situation that would stop you from purchasing the bike? I really want it but I am fearful that if I was to get one that it will be bricked in the future or will get fully banned. It sucks that the US is getting so restrictive with things from China. I understand that there are some privacy concerns but there has to be a way to work around it.

So I'm in the market for my first bike and the Ibex 450 caught my eye because of the price, being able to take wherever and carry shit, and my life style. The problem is my weekly riding will be a commute, 15 miles each way, on the 405 freeway for work. Weekends I plan on hitting the trails or big bear. I wanted to know what you all think of this bike for that type of riding and if you think it will be ok for that time on the highway. Any suggestions are welcome.
