Dropped my channeling 2H slashing weapon for another with Tidal and the damage increase was surprising

Even on my farming build (seal of riches, 2 PT charms, 2 crucible, 1 unique), the damage increase was quite notable, hitting in the 10s of Ts, which rarely occurred with the other 2H weapon which had gem strength.

So crushing on 1H weapon opposite of Ramaladni's, channeling on ring. Aspect lost was HH. BLT is always the unique charm slotted, aside from T12 Mephisto runs when I swap to EF.

I used to run Tidal with deluge, dropping crushing, and it did ok, but when my channeling polearm rolled gem strength, I switched to that thinking the gem strength would be best. The numbers seem to say otherwise, at least with my current setup.

Edit: Apologies! I forgot to mention my paragon boards and glyphs.

Boards are: blood rage, warbringer, weapons master, and force of nature

Glyphs: might, dominate, twister, wrath and exploit

When did you swap channeling to tidal on your 2H slashing weapon?

Thinking of putting tidal on my 2H slashing, replacing channeling since I’m running an OP Selig WW variant.

Anyone notice a considerable difference when you made the switch?

Thanks!

What do you think? Still usable?

Thankfully, I still have a nicely rolled 2H mace with gem strength, but I'm not sure how much of a loss the main stat is on the 2H stat stick.

Anyone running a 2 hander with no weapon damage and no main stat? lol

Almost a perfect quadfecta for chest

Now to waste money and mats on it and brick it! 😂

PSA: if you're still struggling to find a decent pair of Gohr's, Helltide is the answer

Howdy!

I'm sure most of you probably know this, but for those who don't, and still need a good pair of gloves, you can set up your war plan tree for Helltides to spawn Gregoire-type mobs. They seem to really only drop gloves when a tormented chest is opened and it's so much more efficient than Gregoire boss runs.

After an hour of opening every chest, I had a full stash of Gohr's, plenty of ancestral. Just remember when doing 3:1, if you want an ancestral pair, you need to cube 3 ancestral gloves.

Good luck!

Yo!

Finally got some RNG love and a Selelig dropped so I immediately started working on a low HP build. Despite eliminating HP from my gear and paragon boards, I can't seem to drop lower than 572. I'm still gathering gear for max resource but I'm only at 312 atm though I have yet to MW anything as my supply of obducite is low.

Appreciate any tips or suggestions! Thanks!

Yo!

I finally got the 5th charm I needed to complete the set for all bonuses and holy smokes it slaps! I got lucky with a grandfather drop and my so-so WW build is hitting in the billions easily. I was doing the full bloodletter's set but it paled in comparison by quite a bit. Still need one more charm for Sescheron's Fury though.

Still a little squishy but I am having a blast!

Sup, barbs!

I know the game has been out for less than a day and a half or so, but how are we feeling so far? Are we liking the changes to the skill tree? How about the difficulty at the beginning? Thoughts on aspects and runes that were vital to some builds disappearing?

I'm cautiously enjoying myself and do appreciate things so far, including the difficulty. Not gonna lie though, I had some legit flashbacks from closed/open beta when barb really struggled in boss fights. I will miss some aspects that were nice to get your character up and running, like rapid aspect, but I want to give these changes some grace. Currently I'm running a LS + WW build and it's keeping up in T4 well enough.

Please share thoughts! Thanks!
