Hey parents,

I’m curious how long birthday parties should be for kids around 4–7 years old.

Some parties seem to last three or four hours, but by the end the kids are tired, overstimulated, or starting to argue. I’m wondering if a shorter party with one main activity, simple food, cake, and some free play actually works better.

For those who have hosted parties, was two hours enough?

What timing worked best for activities, food, and cake without making the party feel rushed or exhausting for everyone?
