Started a Small Film Circle and It’s Turning Into Something Specia

We just had our 3rd weekly film discussion, and this time the film was The Station Agent starring Peter Dinklage.

What started as a quiet, simple film turned into one of our most heartfelt discussions so far. We spoke about loneliness, friendship, silence, human connection, and how some films say so much without trying too hard.

One of the best parts of these discussions is seeing how differently everyone experiences the same film. Some noticed the performances, some connected emotionally, some talked about the pacing and atmosphere, and others brought in completely new perspectives we never thought about.

That’s basically what this little film circle is about, watching good cinema together and having genuine conversations around it.

We usually pick two films every week and hop on a casual Google Meet discussion after everyone watches it.

If that sounds interesting to you and you genuinely enjoy talking about films, feel free to DM me and join us

Hey guys,

I was thinking of starting a small film watch + discussion group and wanted to see if anyone’s interested.

The idea is pretty simple: We pick a film → everyone watches it on their own → then we hop on a quick 30–40 min Google Meet and talk about it.

Not daily or anything intense , maybe 2–3 times a week, depending on what works for everyone.

Nothing super serious or academic, just sharing thoughts, favorite scenes, what worked/didn’t, random interpretations, filmmaking stuff, or even just vibes.

We can take turns suggesting films, explore different genres/languages, maybe even go through certain directors over time.

If you enjoy watching films and actually discussing them after, this could be fun.

If you're interested, comment or DM me — I’ll make a group and we’ll figure it out!
