Milwaukee woman charged with impersonating a substitute teacher at her old high school.  

Amy Jones, 23, was charged with impersonating a public employee, a felony, and five felony counts of exposing a child to harmful descriptions. 

She was later escorted out of the school after a staff member had recognized her as a former student. But only after she had spent time in classrooms with students where she used “profane language, racial slurs, sexually derogative statements, and organizing students by race and gender in class,” according to the complaint.

Jones told detectives that she had gone to the school, because she was BORED. And she also said that she hates kids. 

I don’t think there’s ever been a moment in my life where I was that bored. Some people need to be in jail.

Just to refresh your memory, Renee was Marvin’s anger management therapist in season 2. Over time the two grow close and develop romantic feelings for each other. 

One night Marvin and Renee are walking together and are about to share a kiss. Jimmy (one of Sal Boselli’s men) opens fire to target Marvin, but shot Renee by mistake. She didn’t make it. 😔

Marvin attends Renee’s funeral deeply saddened. Renee is later avenged when Lou-Lou kills Jimmy. 

I was hoping Renee would have survived in that situation. I thought her and Marvin were good for each other and they could of had a fresh start together.

Joseph Sikora aka Tommy from Power was in the first Jack Reacher film starring Tom Cruise.

Gerald was the biggest loser on this show. 

Gerald met Marvin in an anger management class. The two formed an unexpected friendship, and later Marvin was like a godfather to his two young daughters. Alice and Amber. 

Gerald was struggling with a severe drug addiction and it eventually cost him his daughter’s life. His younger daughter Alice accidentally drowned in the bathtub while he was getting high.
 
Marvin went to the hospital to console him, but then it was revealed that Gerald was an informant for the FBI. Federal agents had used his habit as leverage to pressure him into working as an informant against Marvin. 

Overwhelmed by guilt, pressure, and his worsening addiction, Gerald ultimately died from a drug overdose. 

Child protective services took his remaining daughter Amber. Marvin was able to track her down and became very overprotective of her. He continued looking after Amber until the day he was murdered.

Kanan had ONE MORE BODY that I forgot about. (Season 1, episode 7) 

Nicole Bingham (Jukebox girlfriend) passed away after accidentally overdosing on a laced dr*g. The defective crack packaged by Kanan. 
Nicole found it in the backpack and that was it for her. 

This heartbreaking event serves as a major turning point in Jukebox’s life and character development. Very sad. 😔

In terms of character development, I think Marvin Thomas was the most interesting character on Raising Kanan.

If you look back at his past struggles,   (incarceration, family loyalty, family business, ex wife, parenting, anger management) you can see why he turned out the way he did.

These are the moments that stood out to me: 

His relationship with his daughter. 
He took steps to improve his relationship with Juke. Initially, he did not accept her lifestyle, but he eventually made things right. 

When crackhead Sam starting snitchin, Marvin had orders to put him down, but he decided to give him a pass. He handed him some cash, put him on a bus, and told him to never come back. 

The AAA/support group therapist Renee was good for Marvin. If she would’ve survived, that situation would have changed his life. They could’ve had a fresh start together. 

Gerald from the AAA/support group was a loser. Initially, him and Marvin did not like each other, but they eventually became friends and Marvin was like a godfather to his two young daughters.

His oldest daughter Amber went into foster care and Marvin became overprotective of her and continued looking out for her until he was murdered.

Micheal Wright was one of the most talented actors from my childhood. Not sure how he passed, but he will be missed. 

He is most widely recognized for his standout role as Eddie King Jr. in the 1991 film The Five Heartbeats, and Omar White in the HBO series OZ.

He also appeared in Sugar Hill, Money Talks, New York Undercover, Before I Self Destruct and Black Lightning. My personal favorite has always been Sugar Hill. Him and Wesley Snipes were brothers in the film. RIP.

I’ve never been to a WNBA game, but I plan to see a game this season.

I always knew this relationship wouldn’t last, and she only fell for him, because he saved her life. It was just a rescue crush, but I always wondered how he would react if she told him about their baby. 👶🏾 

I would never call Lou-Lou a fake Quincy Jones, but he was passionate about making music and discovering good artist. Him and Marvin bumped heads from time to time, but I think Raq was the person who held him back the most. That and  addiction, but he was good when he had a sober mind.

He was Raq’s right hand, and he was also the only sibling that was musically inclined. Music was his true passion. If you think about Power Book 2: Ghost, parallels can be drawn between Lou-Lou and Dru Tejada, both being the younger brothers in their family business who wanted to leave the game for their artistic endeavors. 

For a minute I thought he would eventually leave New York to be with Jessica (Famous sister) but that situation didn’t work out. Then he met Zisa, and later Imani. He would have been better off with Imani, if he didn’t cheat on her with Jessica. Can’t say Lou never met a good woman. His life didn’t have to end the way it did.

I saw Antonio Ortiz (Famous) on a podcast recently, and he said his character was only supposed to be on season 1, but ultimately he made it to season 3. 

He also said fans should stop with all the conspiracy theories, because he was informed by producers that his character was going to die.

But if you remember the original Power series, Kanan does name his son Shawn after his best friend Shawn Figueroa. 

Fame was one of my favorite characters on the show and I was hoping he would survive, leave NYC, and have a rap career. Had I not seen the original series, I would have been rooting for him and Jukebox to make it out the hood.

It’s been a minute since I’ve seen Bunk Moreland (Wendell Pierce) and Clay Davis (Isiah Whitlock Jr.) on the same screen. Two familiar faces if you are a fan of The Wire.

S5 E8 - Unconditional Love 

This was a toxic love story, and I can honestly admit he had me fooled. Whatever you decide to do in life, DON’T BE THIS GUY. It’s not worth your freedom. Or 10 years in federal prison. 

His Ex did 3 months in jail for crimes she didn’t commit, and after she was released she still didn’t get her money.

I made a video about this story last year. Micheal Ward is an actor who played a character on the British crime show “Top Boy”. As of now, he’s been found not guilty of all rape and sexual assault charges by a London jury. 

The charges stemmed from a January 2023 incident in the back of a car, which Ward consistently maintained was entirely consensual. Following the trial's conclusion, Ward was acquitted on all counts, ending a case that had been pending for over three years. 

Went down the SVU rabbit hole and look what I found. From what I can remember this was the only episode I noticed Kelli Giddish (Amanda) playing a victim.

I never saw this episode of Law & Order SVU. I just noticed Wee-Bey from The Wire.

Season 3: Episode 2: Wrath

Just saw this story on CBS evening news. This woman is suffering from bipolar disorder and schizophrenia, and this cop decided to use her face as a punching bag during an arrest. The video was very disturbing and inappropriate. I’m glad he was terminated the next day, but he needs to be in jail. From what I was reading he’s due back in court for charges.

Angel Reese is the only person that can make you eat a Family-Size box of cereal that you don’t even like. 🤣
