Can bacterial infection cause rhabdo?

Has anyone had rhabdo brought on by severe infection/sepsis? I had sepsis and was discharged from hospital two weeks ago. Yesterday my legs felt very weak, like they were struggling to hold me up and felt like they were going to collapse particularly when going down stairs etc. this morning I woke up with severe muscular pain in my thighs and now it’s moved down to my calves. Pain is about 4/10 laying in bed and 9/10 when moving, even just readjusting my position in bed is painful and walking is crazy painful. My urine is quite dark orange. The best description of the colour is Lipton iced tea that comes in the bottles. I’m very worried about rhabdo but I’ve not done any exercise as I’ve been so fatigued from the sepsis. I do plan on going to the doctor tomorrow but I’m interested in others experiences!

No energy/fatigue

Hi guys,

I went into hospital for sepsis 2 weeks ago today. They never found a cause but I believe it was toxic shock syndrome due to my rash, symptoms, severe low BP, peeling skin following infection amongst other things all tied to tampon use and my period.

I had a 5 day admission for 4 different types of IV antibiotics and finished the other 2 days with oral antibiotics. I feel a lot better, I just have no energy. Everything is so much effort. I don’t want to get out of bed. Not in a depressed way, it’s just hard to muster up the strength to do things. I sleep a full nights sleep but I feel like I have concrete blocks tied to my body which make it hard to get up and move. Is this normal after sepsis? Is this something that will get better with time? I know I’m very early in my recovery but I’m a single mum to a toddler and everything is falling behind- cleaning, laundry etc. I need this to get better. What can I do to help this fatigue?

Is this petechiae? It’s a non blanching tiny pin prick rash that randomly appeared. I’ve not itched or scratched my legs so it’s throwing me off that it’s in liner patterns. They are not raised and it feels like normal skin when I touch it. And it doesn’t pass the glass test/non blanching. No other symptoms except I’ve been lacking energy and needing to sit down a lot recently which that could be completely unrelated.
