Hiiiii. I’m looking for recommendations on soldier memoirs/diaries/published letters where the writer mentions or dwells on his finances, family finances, future finances, and/or future job prospects, etc. I’ve read my share of memoirs, regimental histories, diaries but i’ve only seen James Horrocks dwell on the subject in his published letters (his letters are published as a book titled My Dear Parents). Another example is John Gibbon who does mention in his memoirs a brief job search through someone towards the end of the war.
