We’re Umami Hibachi, and we catered the hibachi portion of this engagement celebration in Paramus.
The hosts put together such a thoughtful setup: burgundy runners, cream linens, candlelight, and string lights over the deck. The tables wrapped around the cooking area, making the dinner feel intimate and personal.

Did a 25-person hibachi party in Ridgewood, NJ and finished the night with Sake Time.
Everyone was already full and having a good time, then this happened 😂

Anyone else ever tried hibachi at home instead of going to a restaurant?

We recently cooked for a really fun 13th birthday party in Oradell, Bergen County with 22 girls.
Instead of going out to a restaurant, the family set up the tables right in the backyard and we brought the hibachi experience to them. The chef cooked everything in front of the group and mixed in games and interaction throughout dinner.
For this age group, hibachi actually works really well because dinner becomes part of the entertainment instead of everyone just sitting around waiting for food.
The backyard setup also gave them plenty of room for decorations, balloons, photos, and hanging out before and after dinner.
Definitely one of the most fun teen birthday party ideas in Bergen County, NJ we’ve done recently. 🔥🎂

Summer is winding down, but we’re still cooking for backyard birthday parties here in New Jersey.
Our Umami Hibachi team recently cooked for Grace’s Sweet 16 in Wyckoff, Bergen County. Her family set up pink and yellow tables around the grill, displayed birthday photos, and brought 20 people together on the patio.
We provided the hibachi chef, grill, and live cooking while the family made the space their own. The birthday cake hat and everyone cheering for Grace were some of my favorite parts.
For anyone thinking about a September birthday at home, this was a lovely setup: one backyard, everyone gathered around the cooking, and plenty of time to enjoy being together.

Had a huge birthday party in Sea Isle City, NJ with 51 guests this week.
We brought 2 hibachi chefs for the party, and the setup turned out awesome. Lots of food, big flames, and a really fun crowd. 🔥🥩🍤
Definitely one of the bigger Jersey Shore parties we’ve done lately.
If anyone is planning a birthday, family gathering, or vacation-house party around Sea Isle City / Cape May County, backyard hibachi works really well for larger groups too.

Had a great time cooking for a 50th birthday party in West Collingswood Heights, NJ this weekend. 🎉🔥
The family set up a backyard tent, decorations, and a full birthday backdrop, and we brought the hibachi experience right to their home.
It turned into a really fun afternoon with family, friends, fresh hibachi food, and a lot of laughs.
We’ve been doing more backyard hibachi parties around Haddon Township, Camden County, and South Jersey, and milestone birthdays like this are always some of the best ones.
